Club Meetings

Members John, Anna, Victor and Steve enjoy the fellowship of Rotary and 2010 2011 President Lesley Baragwanath accepts a banner fromHilary , a member ofour recent Friendship Exchnage Group from the UK

Our Club's weekly meetings are held at the Daylesford Bowling Club where members gather from 6.30pm for a 7pm start. They usually run for around 75 minutes, and the time goes fast as we enjoy the company and fellowship of our colleagues, input from a guest speaker, fun sessions and member reports over dinner and drinks. Recently member Peter Harding initiated a fortnightly raffle which is proving to be a hoot and a raging success. Costs for dinner vary from $22.00 for an ordinary meeting - $25.00 or so for an away meeting. Members are expected to attend at least 2 meetings or club activities per month. As we are involved in many community activities on weekends or after hours it is not difficult for them to meet this commitment if they are unable to regularly attend meetings.

Members of our club enjoying our recent debate about the relevance of the 4 Way Test with members of the Rotary Club of Woodend.

After hearing this Guest Speaker talk about how to prepare for an operation a member purchased copies of her book and donated them to the Club for placement in Doctor's Waiting Rooms and the reception area at the Hospital.

Recently members spent a great night with the Ellenders learning about their wines and how they came to be in the business of making them.

Members look and learn from Shire CEO Kaylene during her recent presentation as our Guest Speaker.
