Each year our Club invites community members in the Hepburn Shire to nominate a local businesses, employees and trainees/apprentices for these awards which reward individual endeavor for that year.

The Rotary Club of Daylesford maintains its commitment to encouraging groups and individuals in our community to acknowledge excellence in business, occupation and customer service in our shire.

Through these awards we are able to do this and honor and acknowledge those who demonstrate civic pride, high ethical standards, dedication to their work or profession and the unique quality that drives individuals to succeed at what they do.

Awards are presented at the official Hepburn Shire Council Australia Day Ceremony.

Basic Education & Literacy

Youth Activities & Projects

Since 1953 when the Rotary Club of Daylesford was chartered we have always participated in community affairs and served establishments, groups and individual in many ways. We have staged fundraising events and then donated funds to worthy local projects, we have participated in hands on work to improve and extend facilities in our community and we have sponsored and supported groups and individuals so that they could realise their goals, participate in experiences to extend their knowledge and personal skills and to assist them to achieve in areas beyond our community.

Recently we have awarded student and sport scholarships, provided educational assistance, conducted Mock Job Interviews with Year 10 and 11 students, distributed Literacy Packs to all families of new borns, presented Numeracy Packs to all 4 year olds in the Shire, made community donations to Hepburn Health initiatives, assisted with environmental infrastructure, developed and installed History Information Boards as well as assisted and supported other community groups and events through joint participation and the erection of marquees for their use. In particular we have focussed on extending the experiences and horizons of our youth, including overseas youth exchange and the attendance of interested and gifted students at Science & Environmental Study Camps, Leadership & Team Building Seminars and Arts events. We have also encouraged and supported local children and youths to achieve in their chosen sports.
